Uniting to Serve

Compassion Rwanda unites brothers and sisters from two continents to serve people affected by the 1994 genocide in Kigali, Rwanda. This medical dental clinic event created by Compassion Connect, brings volunteer professionals to some of the most urgent needs in this Capitol city.

Compassion Connect worked closely with the Luis Palau Association during the Season of Service 2008 in Portland, Oregon to provide assistance to five clinics around the area. Following that event, doors were opened to meet with church and civic leaders in Rwanda. After a visit in November 2008, leadership accepted the challenge to form Compassion Rwanda, July 2009.

A U.S. based team is formed to carry out the mission of supporting the local church in Rwanda in serving their neighbors. Compassion Connect comes alongside local churches with vision, proven practices, professional volunteers, encouragement and prayer to facilitate a successful ministry to their people.

From the first discussions through the current planning, God has confirmed His calling on this project. The results are in His hands. He will accomplish His purposes to the glory of Jesus!
